Sorry to bother you here, but I haven’t seen anyone else describe this issue. I’m able to the play the games just fine, but in the settings menus and create mode large portions of text don't show up. In create mode when I hover over different buttons the text that should appear next to the cursor instead appears in the line at the bottom on the left side (in the same row that says the version number on the right side)
I’ve tried to see if something was wrong in the settings but none of the options have text anywhere, It’s all blank boxes. If you know what went wrong I’d appreciate if you could help me figure this out.
Other people have Monkey Watch, Lumbearjack, etc. but I don't have one. Why? Is it some kind of plugin? If so, please tell me how to download it.I want this person's game...

hey, if anyone on the hs team sees this, ive been having trouble with opening the game. currently i have to run a command in terminal (./build/StandaloneLinux64/Heaven\ Studio), because if i double click the file to open it, all it does is open an app that doesnt have anything to do with hs. also im on a chromebook.
I'm having trouble with my keyboard connecting with this game. In the Linux version it couldn't detect any input. I tried the Windows version and it worked in the title screen but when it came to the actual game it didn't detect any input making it practically unplayable. I know it's not my keyboard since i tested it with my other keyboard but it gave me the same results. The Linux version also has some unusual packaging. it was downloaded as a zip file but inside it is a tar file with the game contents. Is there a reason for it being packaged like this?

i like this but my main problem is that in literally every remix it expects you to have prior knowledge or know how to play certain games. which i dont
I'm gonna be blunt, Heaven Studio really is very much intended for people who have played the actual games before, we don't have detailed tutorials for all 52 games because it would just be a nightmare to set up and manage. If you're having trouble with a specific game there will always be people in the Discord who are happy to help, I think.
I've reached out to them about it beforehand, just around a year ago now, and we discussed it a bit then. I believe Louie prefers to keep Rhythm Hell as a separate thing, which we respect! If they ever change their mind for any reason, we'd be happy to have it in, but for now that's the status on it :)

[Question] Hey, I read in the discord server, The Xbox Controllers(Xinputs)And Dual Joy-Cons are not supported yet but will be in the future, Is there any programs i can use to emulate keyboard taps on controller?

I just got an issue where it said it can't be checked for malicious software. If you go to your settings then "privacy and security", if you scroll all the way down there should be a bit that says heaven studio was blocked if you click open anyway next to it the next time you try to open it it should give you the option to open it and it'll run like normal 👍
Replaced the discord link, but it should be okay regardless. The youtube account has been terminated for a while though, yes. If we ever want to share videos we'll be posting them through the twitter
hey so when I double click on the RIQ files to play the game, a screen pops up with "Error Loading RIQ". Does anyone else have the same issue and if so do you know how to fix this
I see a lot of people have already given this feedback, but I'd love for the editor to have some sort of practice mode feature. That way, custom remixes can all have their own tutorial which would make it WAY easier for newcomers to understand how to play.
You open the .riq files by launching the game and clicking on "Play", then selecting one of them in the file selector.
If you do want to open the minigames directly outside of the game by double-clicking them, you can go into the file properties for any riq file and and associate it to run with the Heaven Studio executable instead. (I image they're opening up like zip files for you by default)

You might have to set an executable bit on the file. You can do that in the file properties in most file managers, OR by navigating to the directory in a terminal and typing:
chmod +x "./Heaven Studio"
If that gives a file not found error, make sure you're in the same directory as the file and make sure to type it out instead of copying it because I don't know if this comment section is modifying any characters I'm typing.

Which platform are you running the game on? This may occur on certain versions of Linux, should be fixed soon if it's that, just narrowing down which issue it is

I am playing on mac and I am unable to even play any levels or select music to make my own levels
Same here. I can get into the level maker but it crashes when I try to add new music.

rewasd! it might introduce input lag but i can't say for sure as i haven't personally tried it.

Yep, this is a problem on some versions of Linux right now, we hope to have it fixed in version 1.1 when that drops

You need to extract the zip, extract the tar file with the same program you opened the zip in, then double click Heaven Studio.
i've done that, but double clicking doesnt open heaven studio, it opens a random app
Make sure you have permission to execute it. Open the terminal where your file is and type "chmod +x Heaven\ Studio"
